Engagement Update
The biggest update yet: special tiles, Metal shader effects, CoreHaptics, push notifications, Game Center achievements, rewarded ads for extra moves, a 4-color expansion, iPad polish, and full localization for 24 languages.
Added
- Special Tiles — Bomb (clears a 3×3 area), Rainbow (matches any tile), and Frozen (requires multiple matches to break).
- Metal Shader Effects — dissolve, ripple, shimmer, combo glow, frosted glass, and rainbow cycle with graceful fallback on non-Metal devices.
- CoreHaptics Manager — bespoke patterns for tile select, tile match, combo escalation, invalid match, bomb explosion, freeze activate, win celebration, loss feedback, and streak milestones.
- Watch Ad for +3 Moves — opt-in rewarded ad offer before game over, once per round, easily declined.
- Push Notifications — daily challenge, streak reminder, lives-full, and inactivity reminders (all opt-in).
- 20 Game Center Achievements — first win, wins milestones, combos, streaks, perfect rounds, daily challenges, stars, and level milestones.
- Expanded Palette — 4 new colors (Indigo, Mint, Brown, Coral) and numbers up to 9 in higher-difficulty packs.
- Glass Morphism UI — new glassCard, glassButton, and glassBackground modifiers across all views.
- Smart Rating Prompt — context-aware trigger shown after a strong finish with a 30-day cooldown.
- Interactive Onboarding — tutorial covers special tiles, with TipKit hints for Bomb, Rainbow, Frozen, and the continue-ad offer.
- iPad Optimization — two-column regular-width game layout, 4-column home navigation, sidebar-detail settings.
- ProMotion 120Hz — high-refresh-rate animation enabled on supported devices.
- Fastlane — automated screenshots, frameit, and App Store build lanes.

- Localization — grew from 7 to 24 languages: English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian Bokmål, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Danish.
- Level Balance — beginner pack (1–200) preserved; special tiles and new colors phased into Easy, Medium, and Hard packs.
- Score Display — now uses a spring-animated score pop that rises above matched tiles.
- Sound + Haptic Split — SoundManager delegates all haptic calls to the new HapticManager singleton.
- Tile Rendering — TileView is Equatable to avoid unnecessary redraws.
Fixed
- Free-reward timer edge cases on app resume.
- Tile gradient rendering on older iOS versions.
- Rare crash in combo-chain calculation at high streak multipliers.
Security & Privacy
- No new sensitive data collected. AdMob and Game Center usage unchanged and disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
- Push notifications are opt-in; permission is requested on first launch after the tutorial.
- Export compliance: HTTPS-only, exempt under Category 5, Part 2.
