Upcomin' Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ziyad Alsuhaymi ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in the Upcomin' mobile application (the "App"). Upcomin' is built for privacy: no account is required, no personal profile is created, and AI guides are generated entirely on your device.

1. What Upcomin' Stores

Your tracked games, followed games, reminder preferences, launch-tab choice, and saved guides live on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync, a copy is stored in your private iCloud container via CloudKit — accessible only to you across your own Apple devices. We never see or receive this data.

2. What Upcomin' Does Not Collect

3. On-Device AI Guides

Game guides, tips, and walkthroughs are generated by Apple Foundation Models, which run entirely on your device. Your prompts, the games you look up, and the generated text never leave your phone and are never sent to us or any third party. Guides require iOS 26 or later on a device with Apple Intelligence enabled.

4. Third-Party Data Sources

Upcomin' fetches public, non-personalized game data from the following services. These requests contain only the query needed to return data (e.g., a game title or IGDB ID) — never your identity.

5. Notifications

Launch reminders, release-eve alerts, and storage-nudge notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. They fire on your device based on release dates stored on your device. No reminder data is sent to any server.

6. Calendar Integration

If you add a release to your calendar, the event is written directly to the Apple Calendar database on your device via EventKit, with your explicit permission. We do not see or store calendar events.

7. In-App Purchases

Upcomin' Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks unlimited tracked games, the Global Launch Hub, reminder preset customization, calendar export, and Year in Review. Purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit. We receive only an anonymous receipt confirming entitlement status — no name, email, or payment details.

8. Advertising

Upcomin' is free to use, supported by ads served by Google AdMob. Ads appear at the bottom of most tabs (not Settings). Pro purchasers see no ads.

iOS will ask you, via the system "App Tracking Transparency" prompt, whether to allow tracking for personalized ads. Your answer is yours to make:

You can change your decision at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Upcomin'. See Google's Ads Privacy & Terms and AdMob Privacy for full details.

9. Analytics and Crash Reporting

To understand which features are used and to fix bugs, Upcomin' sends anonymous diagnostic data to two providers. Neither receives your name, email, contacts, location, or any tracked-game list. Both store data in the European Union under GDPR.

Additionally, if you have "Share With App Developers" enabled in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash logs and performance metrics with us through Apple's own diagnostics channel. These also contain no personal information.

10. Your Choices

11. Children's Privacy

Upcomin' is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will appear on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
